Now the app is multilanguage, thanks to everybody who helped me in the translation!

Setup (Lite version)

Insert a phone number to receive text alerts and an email address to receive mail alerts.

Check the boxes to select which alerts you want to receive.

Choose a password to protect your settings and click "Save and quit".

Setup (Pro version)

You can see your current SIM card and the registered cards. When you save the configuration, your SIM card will be added to the list of registered cards.

If you have already assigned all 3 slots, the new card will be registered and Registered SIM card 3 will be deleted.

You can also specify multiple recipients for both SMS and e-mail alerts: separate them with a comma.

Finally, you can set the application to send periodic alerts. If they are enabled, you will receive updates on the device location.

What happens now?

If a SIM card different from yours is inserted, the phone will send its location by text messages and/or email.

As you can see, there are three different ways to get location: by network (cell towers), GPS and WPS (Wi-Fi networks).

You have to look at the accuracy and the time of the fix, because a location could be more accurate but outdated.

If you have the Pro version, you will also receive information on the SIM card (serial number and operator) and the last incoming/outgoing calls:

How can I get the new SIM card number?

Enable text alerts. The new number will be the sender of the SMS messages.

GPS auto-enable

Update: Pro version can now enable GPS on devices running Android 1.6 or later.

Starting with Android 1.5, user applications cannot auto-enable GPS.

You could leave it enabled, so the application would be able to get the current location of the device; the alternative is moving SIM Checker apk to /system/app.
